A história é sobre uma jovem mãe solteira que é obrigada a colocar sua vida em risco para ir à Ossétia do Sul, onde seu filho está, o qual ela tinha enviado para lá na véspera de um conflito. O filme pode ser dividido em duas partes que se alternam com o outro: um mostra como, aos olhos de um menino o conflito na Ossétia do Sul se transforma em uma história de guerra fantástico, com super-robôs, e a segunda mostra a realidade da situação de guerra e da jornada da heroína principal.
