Mια ομάδα φοιτητών κινηματογραφικής σχολής εν μέσω του χάους και του τρόμου που επικρατεί, εξαιτίας της εμφάνισης αληθινών ζόμπι, δημιουργεί μια ταινία ημερολόγιο των φρικιαστικών συναντήσεών τους με τους ζωντανούς νεκρούς. Οι νόμοι της κοινωνίας καταρρέουν και η κυβέρνηση δεν είναι έτοιμη να αντιμετωπίσει την κατάσταση. Το μόνο, λοιπόν, που τους απομένει είναι να στηριχτούν στις δικές τους δυνάμεις για να παλέψουν και να μείνουν ζωντανοί, αλλά και να καταφέρουν να γυρίσουν το βίντεο ημερολόγιο ώστε να το αφήσουν ως ντοκουμέντο στις επόμενες γενιές...αν τελικά σωθεί κανείς.
