KC Carr musste aufgrund eines Wettstreits ihre ehemalige Mannschaft in Kansas City verlassen. Sie ist alleinerziehende Mutter von zwei Kindern. Sie bekommt ein Angebot vom Logger Besitzer Burt Henry in seiner Mannschaft in Portland, Oregon zu spielen. Doch Burt hat eine ziemlich rücksichtslose Art an sich und benutzt KC für seine Zwecke.
